Kimball Family FAQ

  • What time does school start and end?

School starts at 7:55 AM. Please do not drop off students until 7:35 AM. There is no supervision before 7:35 AM.

School ends at 2:25 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and 1:10 PM on Wednesday,

  • When are upcoming school closures?

Please follow this link to the 2025-2026 School Year Calendar, and see a list of important dates at the bottom of this page.

  • How does my student opt in and pay for school lunch?

School lunch is free at Kimball for all students. If opting in, your student can line up in the school lunch line and they will be served.

  • What school supplies will my student need to bring on their first day?

Some schools provide grade-level supply lists that families are to shop off of. At Kimball, the school orders everything in bulk, and families send in money. This saves Kimball families from having to shop, check off a list, and pack everything up to be sent to school. It also ensures every student has what they need regardless of their ability to obtain or procure supplies.

To help cover the cost of school supplies, we ask families who are able to pay between $30 to $50 per Kimball student; whatever amount is within reason for your family. If you are able to pay more to help cover the cost for Kimball families who are less able to pay, we thank you for your generosity!

All students will receive school supplies regardless of ability to pay. Please note that families are still responsible for providing a backpack, lunchbox (if bringing cold lunch), and water bottle for each Kimball student.

If you would like to make a donation, please do so here.

  • Do I need to re-enroll my Kimball student every year?

No, once a student has been enrolled in Kimball, they will automatically be enrolled in the next grade for the following school year.

Our staff, teachers, and PTSA are always looking for volunteers. See all of the ways to get involved here.
